NBC UNIVERSAL appointed co-chairmen Ben Silverman and Marc Graboff to oversee the network. Graboff will focus on business matters, while Silverman will be the top creative executive. Silverman pledged to focus on content that can succeed in both prime time and on the web.
ABC will launch a news show built on user-generated content. "i-Caught" will feature video captured by users on cellphones and video cameras. The show will begin in August.
CBS has purchased Last.fm, the social-networking music site. Last.fm connects users with similar musical preferences and allows users to generate custom radio stations.
ANHEUSER-BUSCH plans to overhaul Bud.TV, in an attempt to salvage the failing branded internet TV experiment. The new approach includes the addition of social-networking features, shorter videos, edgier content, and syndication on YouTube and other popular video destinations.
